This will be a memorial trip for our beloved brother

Ipupiara Makunaiman

Humility~Compassion~Honesty

We continue to grieve your leaving this Earth plane,

and yet now is a time to return to the jungle in your honor,

for the children, for the plants and animals,

for you.

You will always live on in our hearts ~ forever

In this program we return to the Amazonian lowlands that were so dear to our brother, Ipupiara Makunaiman, Bernardo Peixoto, PhD, revisiting his beloved people and restoring the school for the children of Fatima.  During the trip we will hold a memorial ceremony to invoke his memory and spirit to the land he loved.

Come and be part of this path of the heart and soul. We will hold ceremony, have teachings of plant medicine and shamanic healing as well as past lives and soul purpose. Let the sacred waters and life giving dieta heal and renew your spirit while you learn ancient techniques and gain clarity of purpose. To walk ~ as Ipupiara walked ~ in humility, compassion and honesty.

“Within the natural sanctuary of the rainforest you will discover a sacred place where your deepest needs, values and passions can speak and allow Mother Earth to reach and teach you. Throughout this journey you will be recharged, enlightened and educated, ready to put your creativity to work to make a positive change in your personal activities and in the global community. By combining old traditions with modern ways we can create a more healthy lifestyle.”

This program is offered to anyone who already has a basic understanding of holistic notions or alternative therapies and is ready and eager to deepen their knowledge of traditional ancient energetic forms of healing arts and to spend their days nurturing their awareness in the natural environment. It is also open to those who simply want to experience this deep healing environment. This program hopes to foster the knowledge that wellness is a journey that continues throughout life. When we choose natural techniques and formulas for our own healing, we are seeking to achieve harmony and balance with ourselves and with nature.

• Six ethnic groups live in close proximity in this area of the Amazon jungle, allowing a rare opportunity to learn and experience ancient, powerful healing techniques and herbal lore.
• Taruma Sanctuary is the perfect place to begin our journey. It is an interesting detour from the routine of pre-packaged travel plans. After spending time there, we will travel through the pristine tropical jungles along the Rio Negro River, visit local native communities, admire the river banks, and explore ancient caves, waterfalls and national parks.
• Some of the topics we will cover:
• Practicing ancient and mystical healing arts from the rainforest tradition using local medicinal and aromatic plants and natural tools.
• Basic concepts of health and healing used in local areas by native herbalists and teachers. Creative expressions and reflections during our journey:
• Visiting local communities and participating in sacred traditional ceremonies.
• Open forum: Native communities, folklore, ceremonies, storytellers, dances.
• Walking, trekking, swimming with pink dolphins, canoeing, fishing, and much needed relaxation.
