Lios Dána (pronounced LIS DAWNA) is a beautiful, tranquil home overlooking Inch beach on the Dingle peninsula in the west of Ireland. Inch Strand is a 4 mile long sand-bar extending out from the Dingle Peninsula, half-way along its southern shoreline, and Lios Dána sits above the strand, dunes, Dingle Bay, and the Atlantic Ocean.

This retreat center has easy access to beaches, swimming, surfing, dunes, hill walks, birdwatching, the Dingle Way, pubs, Killarney lake and forest, the Ring of Kerry and countless other stunningly beautiful areas makes this a favorite for visitors from around the globe. The closest airport is Kerry, however we are located within driving distance of Shannon and Cork airports, and have been the weekend and weeklong home for workshops, retreats, family reunions, weddings, and large groups.

Weekly rental self catering (rental only) high season (July and August and any week with a bank holiday) is 1750 Euros
and shoulder season (May, June, September and October) is 1350 Euros
and require a 25% nonrefundable deposit to hold the space. The weather in
Ireland is unpredictable, and can be wonderful in shoulder season.

The center sleeps up to 16, and there is an overflow cottage that sleeps up to 6 additional.

Lios Dana is located on the Dingle penninsula in southwest Ireland.
Kerry is a small airport about 20 minutes away, and there are hopper flights to Kerry from Dublin, London and Frankfurt. We can arrange to pick you up from Kerry Airport at no charge.
The nearest international airport is Shannon which is about 2 hours away.

Via Shannon
– Taxi or Bus(regular service) to Limerick Bus Station (30 minutes).
– Coach from Limerick (every 2 hours) to Farranfore (closer) or Killarney (journey time 2 hours).
– We can arrange to collect you from Faranfore by appointment.

Via Dublin or London
(Stanstead Airport)
– RYANAIR (daily flights) from  Dublin/London to Kerry Airport.
– We can arrange to collect you from Kerry Airport by appointment.

Via Dublin and Rail
– Rail Air Link bus from Dublin airport to Dublin Heuston station.
– Train from Dublin Heuston (every 2 hours) to Killarney (journey time 4 hours) .
– We can arrange to collect you from Killarney Railway station by appointment.

Via Cork from London Heathrow or Gatwick airports
– Taxi or bus(regular service) to Cork Bus station (15 minutes).
– Coach from Cork (every 2 hours) to Killarney (journey time 90 minutes).
– We can arrange to collect you from Killarney by appointment.

Weather in the southwest of Ireland is unpredictable, but moderated by the Gulf Stream. It is essential to bring rain gear, including hat and shoes that can get wet. Layers are good so that you can peel off, or put on, covers according to comfort.

Electricity in Ireland is 220V, 50Hz and plug adapters are needed. Without a transformer, hairdryers and other appliances from the US should not be used as they are certain to be destroyed. Many laptops and cellphone chargers have built in transformers so that they can be used overseas.

Currency is the Euro, and exchange rates vary. Most banks will exchange money, although avoid bringing large bills as these may not be accepted for exchange.
